Errorthoughtical Engineer
I am Peter Greenwall, innovation consultant, corporate songwriter, author and errorthoughtical engineer. I believe that if entrepreneurship and innovation training is going to stand a chance of changing South Africa then it needs to be presented in a way that's accessible to all - through music, comedy and reference points suitable for each target group.
Coming from a showbiz background (my musical scores featured on World Cup opening ceremonies, Miss World Pageants, London musicals and stage shows for corporates) I am known for my engaging multi-media musical presentations on sustainable innovation and 'PIFYAFFING' or Pulling Ideas From Your Asspirations For FINancial Gain. Inside my light-hearted approach are lessons on creating a culture of innovation and capitalising on change.
I also wrote a book 'Logical stupidity - innovation by navigating through nonsense', which has been downloaded 20,349 times and can be found on Amazon's best sellers rank in the position of 9,854,850. To date, I've sold 43 copies, of which I've bought 30 myself. I also continue to write no-hit wonders like 'Songs That Nothing Ever Happened To', which has gone anti-viral on YouTube with 243 views since 2009.
My idea worth spreading to present at TEDxCapeTown 2012 is that failure and unlikely places are key ingredients of innovation. I have now found my niche as an innovation consultant, showing corporates how to break failure down to make more things up. This is the back story behind my chosen topic of 'Getting inside ‘WTF?!’ to capitalise on multiple types of failure.
